The Medicare premiums in 2013 (for Part B) will be $104.90 per month for most individuals but if your yearly income was higher than the average American you may have to pay more.
How much does Part B cost?
Most people pay $104.90 for their Part B premium each month. BUT…
If your modified adjusted gross income (as reported on your IRS tax return from 2 years ago) is above a certain amount, you may have to pay more.
The premium you pay can change each year, depending on your income. If you have to pay a higher amount for your Part B premium and you disagree (for example, if your income goes down), contact Social Security right away to see if you can get your premium lowered.
